The Farm
Tradition has it that Podere Cerale existed as far back
as the early 13th century. It provided candles for the two monasteries
once located in the vicinity, hence the name Wax Candle Farm.
The present farmhouse was raised on its foundations. It
is a magnificent building, continuously enlarged and improved from the
16th through to the 19th centuries.
It contains a stable, kitchen/living, a loggia and on the
first floor the guest accommodations.
Next to the partially renovated farmhouse are ruins, providing a picturesque
contrast.
